VAM 2023 celebration of learning12/20/2023 Now that the celebration of learning has ended I have to come on here and write about it, so here we go. As for what I thought was my best work I would definitely say my collage painting was what I had done best this year. The overall event was fine but nothing really to write home about and kinda feels like it will blend together with last year's event in my mind if anything. I feel like overall I have not grown as much as I did last year in my art, though I think my photoshop skills have improved a lot over the past year.

VAM - Celebration of learning blog6/15/2023 This year has been one of the most interesting school years of my life, and I would say it is mostly due to VAM. This year has given me many very memorable experiences, and these are what I plan to delve into in this post. The art show was one of the most recent events that had happened in vam class, and it was quite the fun time despite spending most of the time wandering around. I really enjoyed seeing art from all the different academies and it was all quite interesting as a whole. I believe that the art show was ultimately a good event to attend for most involved, i cannot speak for people on a personal level but I think academically and art wise it was a great thing to see. If I would have to change something with my piece of art, I would’ve made it into a much larger diorama build on top of a cart as though the tv was one to present a film to a class or something, along with maybe adding a custom vhs tape or something of that manner. This year has ultimately been good for me as an artist as, despite the fact my art did not grow directly due to what I had learned here, I’ve learned many ways to incorporate the techniques I have learned into my own personal artwork.
VAM 10 project Blog post3/28/2023 My project is something that I am very proud of and have had a lot of fun doing. This project I believed answered my concerns about VAM feeling too restrictive to my creativity and process, not to say it does not help me as an artist but I have felt as though the projects have all had a very linear “point A to point B” mentality to them. I had chosen to do a diorama of a bizarre alien landscape, as aliens have always been an interest of mine and I’ve always found designing such landscapes to be an enjoyable process. The diorama had started as simply a box with A landscape inside of it, however this later matured into being inside a TV, leading to a much more interesting exterior. The landscape is soon to be populated by all sorts of strange creatures, though I have not quite yet added them. This project has really let me spread my wings to greater extents and has reminded me the reason why I appreciate VAM so greatly.
